I Used Fenty’s Hand Mask And Woke Up With Smoother Hands [Review]

Dry, winter hands? Don’t know her. Fenty Skin’s Hydra’Reset overnight hand mask did its moisturizing magic after using it multiple times. Here’s my Fenty’s hand mask review.

Made to be used as an overnight mask, Fenty’s Hydra’Reset Intensive Recovery Glycerin Hand Mask “deeply moisturizes, revitalizes, and nourishes your hands while you sleep,” according to the site. The tube is 100% PCR (that is, post-consumer recycled material), recyclable, and there’s no outerbox in order to reduce waste. Here’s my review of the product and what it did for my hands.

My Current Hand Routine

Currently, I don’t have a hand routine just because I’ve never really paid that much attention to my hands. I find I just don’t have time or energy to keep up a hand routine. Particularly because they are constantly getting messy with sand, paint, always washing it after diaper changes and cleaning.

The only time I do manage to moisturize it is when I apply lotion to my body. Still, I don’t give too much TLC to my hands. They do tend to get dry on certain days. But for the most part, they feel soft. A hand mask would be ideal if I wanted to keep it that way and to keep my hands looking youthful.

Product Texture

The texture of the product is thick. And when they say put it on before bed, really follow the instructions because you would not be wanting to use your hands after applying the product. That’s because once you rub it in, the texture leaves a film on your hands that feels almost sticky. It’ll probably also leave residue on your phone, so bedtime it was for me when applied.

Due to its thickness, I squeezed about a full coin size amount onto my palm to coat both hands. I assumed this would be very moisturising and seeing how cold the weather was getting, I needed the extra hydration anyway. So, it made for a nice winter bedtime hand routine.

The Scent

Being a fan of Rihanna, I was expecting a strong floral scent. But surprisingly, the smell was that of a clean scent with background notes of flowers. It wasn’t overpowering and it reminded me of Johnson’s baby powder; it smelt clean.

The scent wasn’t memorable though which really brought more attention to the product itself. I was hoping for the scent to be stronger and long-lasting. But, pretty much the next day, I could not smell a thing – which I’m totally not mad about either as it’s still quite a pleasant smell.

The Results

For the first couple of times, my hands didn’t feel any different. And adding a new routine into your life is like adding a new habit. So, I wasn’t perfect at the start. But once I got into the hand routine, I started to notice the difference it made to my hands.

The first difference I noticed after multiple consistent uses was at how smoother my hands felt in the mornings. I really was happy with the results of how my hands felt, almost silky. And with more consistent use in my hand routine, I expect my hands to be glowing.

The Packaging

I quite like the packaging; the colour scheme is soft like the product, so it fits well. It has clean writing that’s easy to read, and instructions are clear to follow. I like that it’s a tube; this makes for less mess when applying the product.

I also noticed how much control I had when pumping the product onto my hands, so it makes for an easy, clean and quick application. You really don’t have to do too much squeezing. Also, I am all for sustainability and looking after the earth, and this packaging is recyclable! Go RiRi.

The Price

For 2.5fl. oz (75ml) at $22 (USD), I feel that it’s a dent in my pocket for something that’s not in my routine. So being new to implementing a hand routine, I would be wanting to look at cheaper options.

However, a little goes a long way with this product. And to be honest, I would buy this product to last through winter, especially on those cold days when you truly need that extra layer of hydration. So with this kind of mindset, it’s not so pricey, and I think it’s worth it.

Would I Use Fenty’s Hand Mask Again?

I would buy this product but not as something that I would keep up with once its finished. I would rather use it as a mask when needed, especially during winter. Like how you would use a facemask, once to twice a week.

Overall Experience of Fenty’s Hydra-Reset Hand Mask

My overall experience was quite pleasant, and I really did enjoy the results. I don’t even do my nails that often but waking up with silky hands, I felt so feminine that I felt inspired to do my nails.
